College Scholarships
2023 College Scholarships Guidelines
The Meridian Trust North Star Foundation is no longer accepting college scholarship applications for the 2023-24 school year. The submission deadline was July 31st.
​
We’ll be awarding six scholarships as follows: two separate scholarships of $1,000 each; and four additional scholarships of $500 each.
​
Winners will be notified by Wednesday, August 16th.

How do I Apply?
This year, you do not need to create, edit, and enter a video. Instead, simply complete the easy online form found below (and attach your completed Parent/Guardian Consent form, if applicable). Click on submit and that’s it!

Who is Eligible to Apply?

Applicant must personally be a member of Meridian Trust Federal Credit Union.

Applicant must attend a university, college, or trade school in the fall of 2023.

Important Note: You do not have to be a first-year student to apply. Anyone attending college, university or trade school at any level, including graduate level, is eligible to enter.

Scholarships:
We will be awarding two separate $1,000 Scholarships; and four separate $500 scholarships.
The scholarship money can be put toward tuition and/or expenses at your university or college. Each scholarship will be awarded as a check made payable to the applicable institution. No transfer, postponement, or substitution of award is permitted by recipient.
Acceptance of a scholarship constitutes permission to use recipients' names, likeness, and entries for promotional and advertising purposes without further compensation.

Judging:
Entries will be scored on the basis of originality and content. No AI-generated answers allowed. The top two highest-scoring entries based on the judging will win $1,000 each. The remaining entries will be put into a random drawing for four scholarships of $500 each. Decisions of judges are final.

Parent/Guardian Consent (if applicant is under the age of 18):
If you are under the age of 18, please have a parent or legal guardian sign and submit the Parent/Guardian Consent form, found below. There will be a space to include the filled out form within the application.
