The Meridian Trust North Star Foundation is proud to be able to provide financial assistance to members who are experiencing difficulty in paying their home heating bills. Qualifying members who are truly in need can apply for help through the HEAT program. HEAT stands for: Heat Energy Assistance Trust.

​Qualification Criteria

1. Applicant must be a member of Meridian Trust Federal Credit Union for a minimum of 180days and in good standing. Applicant can live in any state in the U.S.

2. Limit of one application per member, per household, per the 2025-2026 winter season.

3. HEAT program grants are limited. All requests will be reviewed and funded to the extent that the program allows and that funds are available.

4. Applications will be accepted and grants will be issued as long as funding is available. Funding for the HEAT program can be changed or terminated at Meridian Trust North Star Foundation’s discretion.

5. All HEAT program financial grant payments are made to service providers, not to the member directly.

6. Member must provide a legible copy of the heating bill in the amount requested. Bill must contain member's name, address, amount, and due date.
