HEAT Program

The Meridian Trust North Star Foundation is proud to be able to provide financial assistance to members who are experiencing difficulty in paying their home heating bills. Qualifying members who are truly in need can apply for help through the HEAT program. HEAT stands for: Heat Energy Assistance Trust.

Criteria:

  1. Applicant must be a member of Meridian Trust Federal Credit Union for a minimum of 180 days and in good standing. Applicant can live in any state in the U.S.

  2. Limit one application per member, per household, per the 2024-2025 winter season.

  3. HEAT program grants are limited. All requests will be reviewed and funded to the extent that the program allows and funds are available.

  5. All HEAT program financial grant payments are made to service providers, not to the member directly.

  6. Member must provide a legible copy of the heating bill in the amount requested. Bill must contain member's name, address, amount, and due date.

If you are eligible, please fill out an application online or print an application and drop it off at your nearest branch.
